Light Equipment Operator III (Ohio) bei Burns & McDonnell

A Light Equipment Operator III in construction is responsible for operating Water Truck, Street Sweeper, Bus, and Forklift equipment to support construction and maintenance projects. They may also perform manual labor tasks as needed and are often involved in basic equipment maintenance.

• Responsible for operating Water Truck, Street Sweeper, Bus, and Forklift
• Responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and performing basic maintenance on the equipment they operate
• Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures when operating and maintaining equipment is a crucial aspect of the job.
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
• Providing support to construction crews, including transporting materials and equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
• Performing other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Light Equipment Operator III in a construction setting
• Must be able to assess through Burns and McDonnell assessment program

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, or reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, push and pull
• Ability to use repetitive hand motions and the ability to grasp and operate field tools and equipment
• Ability to climb on, in or through equipment in confined spaces and elevated work using fall protection harnesses.
• Ability to work long hours with infrequent days off, night shifts, and in adverse climates.
• Ability to use respirators or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus.
• Ability to utilize vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to lift, carry and or move up to 60 pounds
• Ability to work in an environment with loud noises and vibrations for extended periods of time
• Ability to properly wear and/or use Personal Protection Equipment
