Description
The Customer Service Representative is an integral member of the sales team, primarily responsible for order entry and schedule adjustments. This position requires the ability to efficiently address inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory bodies, and business community members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish new customer profiles within the ERP system.
- Process various types of orders, including standard, blanket purchase, and credit card transactions.
- Optimize On Time Delivery (OTD) by collaborating with materials and manufacturing teams to provide customers with accurate delivery timelines.
- Monitor part shortages and proactively communicate any anticipated late deliveries to customers.
- Coordinate with supply chain personnel regarding product forecasts and future requirements.
- Manage and follow up on order backlogs across assigned territories.
- Handle requests for rescheduling purchase orders.
- Enter and update commission schedules as required.
- Oversee month-end pull-ins in collaboration with the supply chain team.
- Conduct safety stock reviews with the supply chain department.
- Support the accounting team with customer credit hold resolutions.
- Provide comprehensive customer service, including updates on order status, tracking information, and responses to accounting inquiries.
- Deliver prompt and accurate product support to customers, sales representatives, and LIN account managers or sales engineers. This includes communicating lead times, confirming purchase orders, and relaying relevant engineering or manufacturing developments.
- Serve as backup for the RMA Coordinator role.
- Address and resolve customer issues, ensuring long-term and effective solutions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 2-4 years of related experience and/or training is required.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with SAP.
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
