We’re looking for a PRN Orthodontic Assistant to join our team on an as-needed basis. This flexible role is perfect for an experienced assistant who enjoys a fun, team-oriented atmosphere and wants to support a practice dedicated to exceptional patient care.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide chairside assistance to the orthodontist during procedures such as bonding, wire changes, and adjustments. 
  • Take orthodontic photos, impressions, and scans (iTero experience a plus). 
  • Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and appliance care. 
  • Sterilize and set up instruments; maintain a clean, organized treatment area. 
  • Communicate clearly with the orthodontic team and support smooth clinical flow. 
  • Deliver compassionate, child-friendly care that helps patients feel at ease.

Qualifications: 

  • Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in Tennessee. 
  • Previous orthodontic assisting experience required. 
  • CPR certification and radiology permit preferred. 
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills. 
  • Reliable and adaptable — able to fill in as needed within a supportive team.

Requirements

  • Travel required to both locations - within 25 mins
  • Active RDA license in Texas
  • CPR certification
  • Experience in pediatric dentistry preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
