Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, we are currently seeking a Warehouse Material Handler I for our Dayshift to be based at our Price, UT facility.

Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler I

Position Summary: The Warehouse Material Handler I is responsible for identifying, staging, and delivering received goods from the warehouse to the production floor in a timely manner. They also are responsible for assisting in the material returns process and other duties as necessary to support the flow of material to the production floor.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 3:30pm (every other Friday off)
Essential Functions: Other duties may be assigned
- Job Kitting and Material Delivery Scheduling
- Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and delivering all received material to appropriate locations in the production process (Point of Use, inventory and/or job carts.) Appropriately identifies and stages goods for manufacturing, inventory, or general delivery for routing to shop floor or other departments within the Company.
- Reads production schedule to determine when kitted job carts should be prepared and distributed to shop floor.
- Ensures job carts are accurate and contain all the required parts while confirming BOM’s for jobs are signed off at the distribution and hand off of job carts to the floor.
- Print job inventory picklists, pull material, and issues that material to the job.
- Delivers materials as requested by leads or project managers and ensures delivery to the appropriate person to be signed off for.
- Maintains Material Request Queue to ensure timely deliveries to will-call or shop floor.
- Assists in the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
- Assists with cycle counts and inventory maintenance.
- Seeks ways to improve efficiency while maximizing accuracy by fully utilizing available resources and actively seeking to improve performance.
Job Cart Returns
- Returns finished job carts to the warehouse as jobs finish out of the test department.
- Documents and communicates with buyers and inventory control specialist to return material to inventory or supplier returns.
- Ensures that returned materials are stored in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Directs the salvage of damaged or used material and works with the procurement team to put it into inventory or scrap as appropriate.
Forklift and 4-Wheeler Safety
- Safely operates various forklifts and overhead cranes to move or hoist shipments from the warehouse to storage or to other designated areas.
- Assist in moving, unloading, and loading material as necessary.
- Operates various hand tools and properly cares for and maintains tools in good operating condition; ensures tools and equipment are properly stored at the end of each shift.
- Delivers daily received items from the 4-wheeler trailer to the shop floor, ensuring that the trailer is empty at the end of the day.
Professional Communication
- Confers with appropriate department heads to ensure coordination of material delivery with activities of other functions such as production and sales.
- Works with the Procurement Manager to coordinate planned and unplanned workflow.
- Participates in weekly scheduled review meetings for planning continuous improvement projects throughout the warehouse.
- Maintains general communication with Project Managers with respect to the kitting of job cart material and delivery of other key project materials.
- Contributes to a team environment by exhibiting a positive and helpful attitude with team members while working towards shared team goals.

- Punctual. Maintains regular and consistent job attendance.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or at least two years shipping and receiving experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and understand shipping and receiving documents – invoices, bills of lading, manifests, etc. comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write English legibly for simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to accurately count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide, calculate shipping and freight costs, discounts, fees, etc.
- Ability to work effectively with various personalities on the shop floor and develop lasting rapport.
- Ability to address vendor issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to solve shipping/receiving/inventory problems and deal with a variety of issues and variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong attention to detail with good organization and problem-solving skills.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have good PC skills as week as be proficient in Word, Excel, and MS Outlook, EPICOR, and other specialized inventory tracking applications/software.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must possess OSHA forklift certification
- Must comply with and follow all IE standards, programs, policies, and procedures as they apply to this position, reports any unsafe condition immediately.
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours or more
- Have good manual dexterity
- Show good judgment
- Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift/and or move up to 20 lbs. frequently, lift and move up to 50 lbs. on a fairly regular basis and move up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Color Vision, Peripheral vision, Depth
- perception and Ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.
Work Schedule: Must be able to work a 40-hour work week and additional overtime as required.
