The Manger Pre-Services oversees the day-to-day operations of the Access Center or assigned area, assigned personnel in the department, helps to define and accomplish goals and objectives, achieves departmental budgets, helps to enforce policies and procedures, determines standards of quality and excellence, and ensures customer satisfaction. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.

Responsibilities

The Manager Pre-Services responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Collaborates with other areas within the department and other departments to ensure accurate information is collected for appropriate account resolution 
  • Communicates with third party payers in developing processes to meet contractual agreements and ensure appropriate reimbursements 
  • Communicates with physician offices to resolve issues and with physician contact responsible for the medical review determination of urgency
  •  Communicates with Payors to ensure all prior authorization or pre-determination requirements are met 
  • Participates in denials management follow up and collaborates with payer and provider relations department as needed
  •  Reviews, creates, updates and maintains departmental policy and procedure manuals as necessary 
  • Manages department staff, including hiring, scheduling, training, evaluating performance and competency, and conducting disciplinary/counseling sessions as needed 
  • Monitors and complete accounts from work queues related to registration and billing requirements 
  • Achieves specific revenue cycle targets and goals
  •  Utilizes performance improvement process and scorecard feedback to effect change Director Patient Access

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or four years' experience in lieu of scheduling, registration, insurance, billing, collection, accounts receivable or a related field 
  • Additional 3 years' experience in hospital access (scheduling/registration/insurance) operations, billing, collections, accounts receivables or related field 
  • Knowledge of large main frame computerized information systems and personal computer systems 
  • Minimum 1-year experience in leadership role or position
  •  CHAA or CHAM certification preferred 
  • Previous experience using medical terminology 
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written) 
  • This job requires the incumbents to operate a INTEGRIS owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non-INTEGRIS owned) and therefore must have a current Oklahoma State Drivers License
