Inline Filling Systems (IFS), located in Palmetto, FL, is looking to add a Field Service Technician to the growing team. In this role, you would be a critical face of our company, responsible for the successful installation, maintenance, and training of our advanced liquid filling and depositing equipment, traveling frequently to our customers’ facilities nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
This role requires a blend of hands-on expertise in the field and critical technical support from the factory.
Field Service & Customer Engagement (approx. 60%-75% Travel)
· Installation & Commissioning: Travel to customer locations (including Manufacturing, Chemical, Food, Health & Beauty, and Distilleries) to assemble, install, and successfully commission new machinery.
· Expert Troubleshooting & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and complex electro-mechanical repairs on existing equipment to quickly restore full operation.
· Training & Consultation: Conduct comprehensive, hands-on training for customer staff on machine operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting, acting as a technical consultant to optimize their filling process.
· Service Management: Manage the entire service call, including direct customer relations, working independently to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Factory & Remote Support (approx. 25%-40% Time)
- Quality Assurance: Execute final testing and inspection of new equipment in our facility prior to shipping to ensure it meets our Engineering Excellence standards.
- Remote Technical Support: Provide professional and effective technical support via phone/email, quickly diagnosing issues, and de-escalating difficult customer situations.
- Administrative Follow-Through: Maintain meticulous records of service, repair, and parts usage, ensuring clear written and verbal communication with all stakeholders.

What You'll Bring
Required Skills & Abilities:
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
· Proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD (2018) and Inventor (2022), including Vault experience.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
· Ability to work closely with internal departments and external vendors
· Work independently under limited supervision
Education & Experience:
· Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Preferred: We highly value specialized technical education, such as an associate’s degree in engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or equivalent certification.
Relevant Military technical training/certification also considered a strong equivalent substitute for an associate’s degree.
· Related experience in mechanical design, within industrial automation or packaging machinery.
· Demonstrated experience with pneumatic and servo motion control systems.
· Experience in fluid dynamics is a plus.
· Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods during training and at a desk working on a computer.
· Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
· Ability to access and inspect all areas of machinery.
