Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Engineer to support the modernization of a technology platform aimed at handling increasing business volumes and improving operational efficiency. The role focuses on implementing scalable workflows, modernizing backend systems, and reducing manual processing. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, APIs, and cloud infrastructure, contributing to high-performing, reliable, and scalable distributed applications.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications supporting modernized technology platforms.
• Build and implement APIs to ensure seamless integration across distributed systems.
• Participate in cloud infrastructure development and optimization, primarily using AWS services.
• Work on advanced database development, including Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and data normalization.
• Support and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as EKS, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, Udeploy, Artifactory, Terraform, and Stash.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and logging using Splunk and Datadog.
• Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in fintech, brokerage, or financial services domains.
Required Skills & Experience
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud development, Java programming, Angular, and Oracle databases.
• Strong experience in API design and implementation.
• Advanced skills in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and database normalization.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (EKS, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, Udeploy, Artifactory, Terraform, Stash).
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools, such as Splunk and Datadog.
• Prior experience supporting Agile Scrum teams in fintech, brokerage, or financial services.
