Purpose of position: To support the flow of materials and components through Segers Aero by assisting with inventory control, shipping, receiving, and production documentation. To ensure materials are properly accounted for, stored, and issued in a timely and accurate manner to meet production schedules and customer requirements.

 

             Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation). 

 

  • Receives incoming parts, materials and supplies; verify contents against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Accurately records all incoming and outgoing materials into inventory management systems (Aerotrac).
  • Prepares and packages parts and materials for outgoing shipments in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Assists with maintaining accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Ensures all received parts are properly identified, tagged and stored in designated locations.
  • Prepares photo documentation for shipping, receiving and production work orders as required.
  • Coordinates with production personnel to ensure parts availability aligns with scheduled work orders.
  • Assists with moving materials between departments to support production flow and minimize delays.
  • Maintains a clean, organized and safe warehouse and work area.
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks and overhead cranes safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Supports Logistics, Production and Quality departments in verifying part traceability and documentation accuracy.
  • Updates work-in-progress and Aerotrac system reports as directed.
  • Communicates shortages, discrepancies or damaged materials promptly to the Logistics Manager.
  • Attends departmental meetings and participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to hear in normal range with or without aids.
  • Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively using a computer keyboard.
  •  Must have normal dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced Microsoft computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) and the ability to learn and be proficient in company-specific software.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly and more, with assistance occasionally
  • Must regularly be able to reach overhead.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, reach overhead, squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Must regularly be able to squat, bend, twist and stand.
  •  Must be able to walk around regularly using steps occasionally.
  •   Ability to provide verification of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions.

Experience and Education Requirements: 

 

  • At least 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • One (1) year of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred; must be obtained within 90 days of employment if not already certified.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.  

 

Work conditions:

 

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Noise is generally loud.
