The University of Louisville is seeking to hire a Supervisor, Finance (Accounts Receivable). The position is responsible for Belknap accounts receivable and University-wide internal and external billing activities. This role will oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring efficient invoicing, timely collections, and accurate financial reporting. This position will oversee the creation of invoices, record cash receipts, and monitor cash collections.
Currently, our office is on a hybrid schedule and requires a minimum of two in-office days per week. This is subject to change at any time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and implement receivable policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce outstanding balances.
Identify opportunities and make recommendations on ways to assist the University community in centralizing their accounts receivable activity.
Supervise financial assistant(s) responsible for accounts receivable and billing activities.
Monitor and reconcile accounts to identify overdue payments and management collection efforts.
Maintain and analyze accounts receivable aging reports and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Prepare accounts receivable reports and provide insights to senior management.
Provide accounts receivable documentation for financial audits.
Participate in the ongoing review of software issues and work to identify and implement solutions.
Perform special projects or other duties assigned by Financial Administration - Controller's Office leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with large accounting software packages, such as Workday Finance or PeopleSoft
Advanced proficiency with Excel formulas
Competencies
Proficient in Microsoft Office, databases and current desktop technologies.
Account balancing and reconciling skills.
Ability to work independently and capable of meeting all deadlines.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare reports and projections.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Compensation Target: $70,000
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
