20Position Summary
The Program Pathways Coordinator identifies student academic and support service needs, providing coaching and planning for successful student experiences. Plans, coordinates and implements scholarly activities and events. Coordinates with others, brainstorming and formulating creative and engaging ideas. Assists in recruiting, intake and acceptance of Workforce participants, Development participants. May supervise student staff.This is a Fixed-Term position therefore continous employment is contingent upon further position funding, need, and/or project completion time.
This is a part-time position working no more than 20 hours/week.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provides coaching and advice to students in understanding college navigation, policies, procedures, activities and support services, overcoming both academic and non-academic obstacles, and enhancing SFCC student success rates.
Plans, coordinates, and implements activities and events that adhere to SFCC and grant objectives, developing and updating student achievement plans, and utilizing outreach and case management to engage students.
Provides life coaching skills to students on finding solutions, promoting self-advocation and independent problem-solving skills.
Assists in the recruitment, intake and acceptance process for TRiO non-credit students, establishing clear program expectations, identifying potential risks and successful candidates, and increasing retention and program completion rates.
Maintains program compliance with federal, state and private grant guidelines, collecting relative student activity data, tracking participation and outreach efforts, and preparing performance reports used for analysis.
Collaborates effectively with other SFCC departments, divisions, and outreach community agencies to produce viable resources for students.

Skill in decision making and problem solving.
Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
Ability to use social media to communicate with students and improve the program.
Ability to facilitate discussions among students, staff, administration, and faculty members.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to maintain accurate, complete and confidential student records.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Five (5) years of experience related to duties.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
Knowledge of higher education goals and programs
Experience at a community college
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Repetitive hand motions and prolonged use of computer.
May be required to lift up to 20 pounds.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior classroom/office work environment.
Work Hours:
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
