Job Title:  Contracts Specialist 

Location:  Melbourne, FL (Onsite, not remote)

Shift:  Mon to Fri from 9a to 6p

Salary:  $60,000 to $65,000 (DOE)

 

Required:  

  • A minimum of 1-year of experience drafting and assembling business proposals in a professional environment.  
  • Strong MS Excel skills

 

Preferred:

  • Previous experience responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) 
  • Previous experience preparing sales quotes
  • BA/BS preferred

 

Summary

The Contract Specialist is a dynamic position with strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to support both USSI Global’s Business Development and Human Resources departments. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) from a wide range of clients

• Draft and assemble proposals, presentations, and pitches, assisting the Sales team, including drafting project budgets and timelines

• Conduct thorough research to gather relevant data and insights for proposal development

• Compile and organize information from various sources to support proposal content

• Write clear, engaging, and persuasive proposals tailored to the needs of diverse clients

• Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment with marketing strategies and objectives

• Support sales with administrative duties, including preparing sales quotes, presentations, proposals, development of cost models and other administrative duties.

• Provide support for planning and coordinating of daily activities of multiple programs/projects.

• Support and maintain reports for multiple programs/projects.

• Serve as support for a variety of human resources functions including but not limited to conducting new hire orientation, developing content for employee training sessions, creating and maintaining employee files, job description creation, and human resources-related functions within USSI Global’ HRIS system.

Qualifications

• Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

• Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
