The Aircraft Pilot is required to operate and maintain company aircraft with the highest regard for the safety of the organization’s passengers and crew.  Additional participation is required in planning and other activities to execute the goals and strategic initiatives of the flight department. This position reports to the Chief Pilot for daily operations with a corporate reporting structure within the company travel department. Standard aircraft operations are accomplished using Co-Captain crew structure.

  • This role is designed and intended to be performed from Muscatine, IA.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Server as Pilot in Command for assigned flights.
  • Serve as Second in Command for assigned flights.
  • Comply with schedules and other directives governing aircraft operation.
  • Ensure pre-flight inspections are performed and aircraft is ready for flight.
  • Conduct pre-flight preparations including reviewing weather, aircraft weight and balance, and performance calculations.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Participate in all relevant and required continuing education or certification coursework.
  • Possess the ability to react quickly to make vital decisions with changing situations.
  • Complete and log all appropriate reports and documentations.
  • Represent the company at the executive level when dealing with business associates, officials, and customers.
  • Conduct and operate with the highest level of safety.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Preferred FAA 560XL type rating
  • ATP required, CFI preferred
  • Hold and maintain at least a 1st Class Medical
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 3000 hours total time
  • 1500 hours PIC
  • 1500 hours MEL
  • 500 hours jet time
  • Previous Business Aviation or 135 experience highly preferred
