What Success Looks Like:
- Unload incoming material, FG & WIP and move to designated location as necessary.
- Pull and load trucks with materials requested for transfer between plants.
- Using information in bill of lading package to prepare product for shipment.
- Safely load trucks with product in such a way as to prevent damage to product, while optimizing the available cubic capacity of the truck.
- Scan products accurately into the company computer system. Confirm that all products are accounted for in the system and that the load matched the order.
- Complete all shipping documentation accurately, ensure that carrier has signed the bill of lading, and return paperwork to designated location daily.
- Ensure inventory is stored so that no damage will occur, and to minimize the time necessary to retrieve it. Ensure first-in, first-out of all inventory.
- Perform daily fork lift inspections and paperwork.
- Actively participate in 5S procedures and all Continuous Improvement efforts.
- Actively participate in annual physical inventory.
- Act as backup for Manager as required.
- Perform any and all other related duties as assigned by Manager.
What You Bring:
- Knowledge of math, with the ability to add and subtract whole numbers.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift.
- Ability to safety use a bander and strapping machines, banding cutters.
- Ability to safely operate a shrink wrap machine.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Ability to use small tools such as a hammer, wrench, chains and tape measure.
- Ability to use a RF Scanner and a two-way radio.
- Ability to safely move around the warehouse floor.
- Ability to properly maintain all assigned equipment.
- Ability to meet productivity standards for the position.
- Keep work area clean.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Meet attendance and punctuality requirements
The salary range for this position hourly is ($15.00) to ($$18.00) with potential to earn an annual bonus.
