Summary: The Production Supervisor (Second Shift) is responsible for overseeing daily production operations and leading a small team to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met. This position serves as a working supervisor—balancing direct involvement on the floor with leadership, training, and coordination responsibilities.
· Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedule, quality, and output goals.
· Lead by example, maintaining a visible presence on the floor to train, coach, and support employees.
· Monitor production metrics and proactively address issues affecting quality, productivity, or safety.
· Ensure proper use of equipment, materials, and labor resources to optimize efficiency.
· Collaborate with the Production Manager to identify and implement process improvements.
· Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and all safety and environmental regulations.
· Conduct shift meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance feedback.
· Support onboarding and training of new employees; promote cross-training and continuous development.
· Complete administrative tasks including timekeeping, shift reports, and performance documentation.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for personnel or operational concerns during the second shift.
· Escalate issues appropriately to upper management while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
· 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including supervisory or lead experience.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and quality standards.
· Proven ability to lead and motivate teams while maintaining accountability and engagement.
· Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, Outlook) and ability to learn manufacturing software (Epicor preferred).
· Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work under deadlines and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
