Job Description:
As an associate, in Technology Resiliency and Recovery (TRR) you will serve in a second line of defense role that interfaces with Fidelity technology owners, including senior management. You will be part of a team to help drive the TRR program to develop and deploy governance, policies, standards, procedures, and data analytics to demonstrate resiliency of Fidelity technology solutions. The role will require the ability to evaluate technology architecture and resiliency design, track and monitor for compliance across applications, and build relationships with senior leadership and key technology stakeholders including guiding them on the resiliency program requirements. This role will engage key business operations and/or technology stakeholders to discuss current and emerging risk exposures, articulate the need and options to remediate gaps, and through risk management drive a continuous improvement cycle to meet Fidelity business goals, objectives, and applicable compliance and audit mandates. The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor's degree in a technical area Engineering or Software (highly preferred) or risk compliance discipline.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Disaster Recovery and working knowledge of Business Continuity programs.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience and familiarity with a range of technology environments including mainframe, open/distributed, and cloud services with a preference for 1 - 3 years working in finance or banking in a technical or risk management role.
Prior experience in using data analytics to assist in driving enterprise programs.
Experience collaborating across business units and products including third parties to analyze and test response capabilities.
Functional knowledge and experience with emergency response and crisis management is a plus.
AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes certifications would be advantageous.
Experience in a resiliency consultative role will be considered.
Disaster Recovery Institute International certification (ABCP/CBCP) preferred or must acquire certification.
You understand technology infrastructure for Open Systems, Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid and Mainframe
You understand enterprise application development lifecycle and Cloud deployment processes.
You have had exposure to defining and setting of architecture standards and the ability to review technical configurations.
You understand the interaction across the technology stack from an application, middleware, database, server, router, network, and storage devices.
You can review and understand technical configuration contexts not limited to but may include those printed from a device, console, logs, and observability tools.
You have performed or participated in enterprise resiliency tests for mission critical applications and databases.
You have strong collaboration skills to assist in resolving technical challenges.
The Value You Deliver
Educate fellow associates to expand awareness of the Technology resiliency program.
Consult with business units, technology risk, and technical team to assess risk and improve the organization’s resiliency and escalate as needed.
Work with application and infrastructure architects on design patterns that meet the resiliency program.
Work at a basic level with Service Now and learn Fidelity’s resiliency management tool Fusion.
Provide oversight to confirm compliance with resiliency programs.
Define standards that demonstrate resiliency.
Interact with internal and external audit teams as needed. Remediate audit findings in a timely manner.
Utilize data analytic capabilities and presentation skills to communicate with leadership on resiliency performance and risk identification.
The Team
Enterprise Resiliency and Crisis Management in which the TRR team serves as the second line of defense in defining, monitoring, and reporting on infrastructure and application resiliency performance in response to operational and technology events and outages. The team is responsible for the execution of the program and ensuring compliance to external and internal business objectives, goals, and applicable regulatory requirements. The team understands external and internal risk drivers that guide and focus efforts to build and demonstrate resiliency to enable continuity of business and technology functions. The role will be hybrid/on-site and based in Westlake, Texas.
