A Brief Overview
Responsible for analyzing data in coordination with revenue cycle, compliance, clinical team members, finance, and others as appropriate. Assists in the review and analysis of system issues and resolves issues with various vendors or IS to improve effectiveness. This position works to appropriately integrate operations, facilitate best practices, achieve efficiencies, and align with Great River Health, State and Federal laws and regulations. Individual must have the ability to evaluate operational issues for business implications. Position interacts with various levels of management and staff, therefore, must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Responsible for collecting, validating, analyzing, and organizing data into meaningful reports for management decision making.
What you will do
- Runs, reviews, interprets, analyzes, and validates Revenue Cycle reports. Ensures the integrity of data provided to all areas of the revenue cycle and other areas of the organization if necessary for good decision making. Works closely with stakeholders from different functional units on topics, including billing, charge capture, coding, and edit/denial management.
- Serve as a resource for organizational and operational matters related to revenue integrity issues.
- Assists with identification of trends and other results of analysis with appropriate internal staff.
- Assists with analyses of impact of new regulations or codes from a coding, compliance, and reimbursement perspective.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree (AA) in business, finance or health related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a health care field R(equired)
- 1-3 years Clinical, billing, or coding (Required)
- 4-6 years Clinical, billing, or coding (Preferred)
- Experience using Microsoft Office products (Required)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Preferred)
- Strong analytical, quantitative reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with solid written and oral communication and presentation skills. Ability to succeed in a high-performance environment where client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

- Strong working knowledge of revenue cycle processes Required
- Will be expected to possess and/or acquire knowledge and understanding of CPT, HCPCS, reimbursement, billing guidelines, and payor edits
