About the Role
Process Technician I supports production operations by maintaining and troubleshooting all equipment within an assigned department. This role requires a hands-on, proactive individual with foundational knowledge in basic electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment within the assigned department to ensure consistent and efficient production.
- Assist with equipment setups, adjustments, and installations using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments and devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems with a moderate level of independence and skill.
- Accurately read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and programmable logic control (PLC) diagrams and languages to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Efficiently perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment as outlined in established PM programs, and complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Proactively monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and escalate concerns about malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following established housekeeping and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with other technicians and production staff to improve machine uptime, reduce downtime, and support production goals.
- Work independently or with minimal supervision to address maintenance needs and support overall equipment reliability.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.
- Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.
Additional Expectation
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Some Technical or Trade school preferred.
- Entry-level experience or technical training in mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems.
- 1-2 years of working in a manufacturing/production environment, preferably working with industrial machinery.
- Must be computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment with accuracy and integrity.
- Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift.
