What's in Store
We are on the lookout for a skilled System Administrator to support and enhance our IT infrastructure in Coppell, TX. Please note: This position is onsite only and is not eligible for remote work. The role combines system administration with responsibilities for secure room operations, site security systems, and technical support for both clients and Davies environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support through phone, chat, and email, and in person, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions for user issues
  • Proactively identify user concerns and recommend effective, long-term solutions and products
  • Install, manage, and troubleshoot hosting-related software and third-party applications
  • Maintain comprehensive internal documentation and mentor team members as needed
  • Collaborate on IT projects and serve as an escalation point for complex issues
  • Oversee system maintenance, backups, inventory management, and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including system access and equipment provisioning
  • Administer Active Directory domain controllers and manage user accounts
  • Configure and monitor Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
  • Will provide support for client audits as needed
  • Provision, monitor, and maintain laptops for secure rooms and Davies users, including software updates and antivirus protection
  • Administer secure room DNS, network, firewall, and TV security systems
  • Maintain site security systems, including badge access and surveillance
  • Administer and monitor Avaya phone profiles and servers
  • Manage and update Unifi network infrastructure
  • Administer Digital Watchdog profiles and servers, ensuring system integrity
  • Monitor server room environmental conditions and address issues via Atara IT ticketing
  • Coordinate with clients for integrated system updates and IT support needs
  • Prepare for audits (client and Davies), address findings, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Maintain up-to-date security access lists, inventory, user accounts, and training records
  • Assist with IT ticketing system management and general IT operational needs
  • Procure, inventory, and track IT equipment and supplies

Skills, knowledge & expertise

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT system administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills, preferably in help desk or call center settings
  • Advanced knowledge of hosting stacks, content management systems (CMS), and server control panels
  • Solid understanding of server hardware, hosting services, and networking fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Keen attention to detail and strong project coordination abilities
  • Familiarity with scripting and coding is highly desirable
Preferred but not required skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CCNA) are a plus but not required
  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, Exchange, O365, and Azure
  • Hands-on networking experience, including VPN setup, network security, and Unifi systems.
  • Knowledge of Digital Watchdog and Avaya systems
  • Broad technical background in cybersecurity and compliance is advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and excel in metrics-driven environments
  • Consistent track record of effective problem-solving
