POSITION SUMMARY:
A Milling Operator is responsible for the operation of department mills and filling of production batches in the Milling plant. This includes the use of KD Dyno Mills, ECM Dyno Mills, NetzschTurbo Mills, bulk systems, scales/load cells, mixers, drum dumpers and any additional equipment required to complete daily tasks. Position will also support job activities in other Operations areas including, but not limited to Small Paint Plant, Large Paint Plant, Waterbase, & Shading.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow and adhere to Company Standard Operating Procedures, batch tickets, and process sheets.
Comply with all Company Safety Policies.
Operate equipment used for batch filling and mill system cleaning, including:
Mills
Scales/load cells
Tank mixers
Bulk loading systems
Filling pumps and machines
Monitor mills, tanks, and other process parameters and equipment.
Fill finished goods into proper containers per customer-specific IDIOS and generate container labels.
Operate forklift to transport materials.
Participate in improvement teams and contribute ideas.
Identify potential off-quality products and initiate corrective actions per company protocols.
Use company IT systems—SAP, Microsoft Access Database, and Microsoft Office—to complete milling orders.
Maintain housekeeping standards in lab and production areas.
Ensure proper maintenance of all testing equipment.
Support operations outside of the Milling department as needed.
Transfer waste from generation point to designated 90-day Storage Area.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Passing Math Test.
Additional Competencies:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Must be clean shaved(mustache allowed) below upper lip for respirator use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to see color.
