Conduct research on a variety of technology sectors, themes, and industry trends with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI). Build business cases to accelerate the evolution of firm wide digital strategy and AI innovations. Provide strategic recommendations to internal senior leadership and external clients. Collaborate in the development, refinement, and execution of AI strategic initiatives across the Firm, aligning them with Morgan Stanley’s overall business objectives. Scout and conduct due diligence on AI vendor solutions from large incumbents, startups, and top tier tech firms and match innovative solutions to business requirements. Provide analysis with a focus on gaining context to enable informed decision making within Technology, Business, and Operations. Research, analyze, interpret, and present content focused on AI market trends. Identify and support the creation of accretive relationships between the various technology organizations and the business/front office divisions of the bank on AI initiatives. Assist in identifying and mitigating risks associated with AI projects and operations.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $145,000 and $155,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as an Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or a closely related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: AI models and their applications in the financial services industry; machine learning techniques; deep learning algorithms; natural language processing; data pre-processing techniques; business intelligence tools including Tableau, and PowerBI; cloud computing and cloud architecture including AWS, and Azure; AI deployment and scaling in enterprise; Fintech; Python; SQL; enterprise model risk management; enterprise technology system requirement gathering and assessment; robotic process automation; working with large structured and unstructured datasets; predictive analytics and modeling; database management and frameworks; legal, regulatory and compliance in technology and financial services industry including GDPR, and CCPA; product lifecycle management; project management including Agile, and Scrum; Microsoft Excel; VBA; financial modeling; strategic planning; vendor assessment and management; innovation scouting; technology due diligence; market research and analysis; process mapping and analysis; risk analysis and management.
