Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. The Opportunity:
We are seeking a seasoned and innovative Senior Application Architect to lead the design, development, and governance of integrations and enterprise applications across Revolution Medicines’ expanding digital ecosystem. This position will define architectural direction and ensure scalable, secure, and intelligent integrations across key enterprise platforms including Workday, NetSuite, ServiceNow, Conga, Egnyte, Veeva, and Microsoft 365/Azure. The Senior Application Architect will play a pivotal role in bridging business strategy and technology execution—leveraging modern cloud, automation, and AI technologies to optimize workflows and deliver seamless interoperability across systems. The role reports to the Senior Director of Information Technology and collaborates closely with stakeholders across IT, Legal, Finance, HR, R&D, and Commercial Operations.
The duties of the role will include:
Architect, design, and implement secure, scalable, and high-performing integrations across the enterprise application ecosystem, including Workday, ServiceNow, NetSuite, Conga, Egnyte, AWS, and Microsoft 365/Azure.
Define integration architecture principles and best practices to ensure performance, resiliency, and compliance.
Develop and optimize Workday Studio integrations, REST/SOAP APIs, and ServiceNow workflows to support HR, ITSM, ITAM, and document management operations.
Leverage AI and intelligent automation tools to enhance integration development, data orchestration, and operational efficiency.
Integrate application authentication and access control through Azure AD, ensuring secure SSO, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity federation.
Lead design reviews, code reviews, and integration governance to ensure consistent delivery standards across projects.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical designs supporting business scalability and digital transformation.
Partner with Cloud Services to architect hybrid cloud solutions integrating AWS services with Azure workloads to optimize performance and reliability.
Develop event-driven and API-based architectures to support real-time data synchronization across systems.
Contribute to the strategic roadmap for enterprise systems and integrations, ensuring alignment with RevMed’s evolving technology landscape.
Promote reuse and modularization through well-documented, standards-compliant APIs and data models.
Guide and mentor developers and analysts, promoting excellence in engineering and cross-functional delivery.
Assist IT leadership in evaluating middleware platforms and automation frameworks (Workato, Boomi, SnapLogic, etc.) to drive future integration scalability.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application integration, architecture, or software engineering.
Deep expertise with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus) and Workday Studio.
Proficiency with API & Web Services technologies (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect).
Experience developing and deploying solutions in Azure and AWS hybrid environments.
Strong proficiency in scripting and development languages: Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#, or Node.js.
Hands-on experience with IAM solutions, Azure AD, ADFS, and identity lifecycle automation.
Experience architecting low-code and middleware solutions using Workato, Boomi, SnapLogic, or similar platforms.
Proficiency in automation and workflow orchestration (Power Automate, ServiceNow Flow Designer, Terraform).
Strong knowledge of SDLC, integration lifecycle management, and DevOps principles.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical designs.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the Life Sciences or Biotech industry within a regulated IT environment.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
Familiarity with modern cloud-native integration patterns and event-driven architectures.
Experience leveraging AI and machine learning frameworks to enhance automation, data mapping, and system monitoring.
Advanced knowledge of Azure Functions, Event Grid, and AWS Lambda for orchestration and workflow automation.
