Caldwell University invites applications for a full-time, Clinical Instructor position in Nursing. This opening is housed in the School of Nursing and Health Services and begins on January 20th during the Spring 2026 semester. This is a 9-month position. Primary teaching responsibilities will  include teaching 30 credits throughout the academic year with an emphasis  on lab and/or clinical courses. In addition to teaching other undergraduate nursing courses, full-time  faculty are expected to participate in service, committee work, attend faculty meetings, advise students, assist with proctoring and hold office hours as required. Other job duties include, but are not limited to: preparing clinical assignments,  supervising clinical groups, and engaging in scholarly activities, community service, and college wide- programs, and activities. 

 

A Master of Science Degree in Nursing and current clinical experience are required. A doctorate in Nursing, Ph.D, Ed.D or related field is preferred. Prior teaching experience in a BSN program  and expertise  in simulation is also preferred.  Current New Jersey Registered Nurse licensure is required.  The successful candidate must be able to teach nursing clinical across the curriculum, with an emphasis on adult medical/surgical care.  Candidates must be willing to support the Catholic Dominican mission of the University.
