Senior Automation Engineer bei HelloFresh

You will … 

Technology Innovation & Development

• Work with external vendors and system integrators to develop automated order fulfillment solutions utilizing top industry technology such as AMRs, Robotic arms, ASRS, sortation systems, etc.
• Take the lead on designing  distribution facilities, including new facilities, facility retrofits, conveyor changes, and other material handling equipment (MHE) changes.
• Work with cross-functional leaders to ensure their business needs are met by new system designs
• Develop robust ROI analyses for new technology/processes

Continuous Improvement 

• Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all local engineering processes and projects.
• Identify, define and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Introduce and adapt improvement methodologies as appropriate to drive change (ex. Lean or Six Sigma).

• Ability to analyze and provide solutions for cost reduction through automation implementation and cost/benefit analysis.
• Experience in developing preferred methods/Standard Operating Procedures.
• Proficient in utilizing labor data to cost justify capital expenditure and process change ROI.
• Possess superior multi-tasking ability to meet concurrent project deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, professional attitude, and approach (and the ability to interact with individuals at various levels of the organization, up and down).

You have… 

• BS Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field required. 
• 4+ years of engineering experience in multi-site industrial distribution, manufacturing, or processing environments preferred. 
• 2+ years of experience scoping, designing, and implementing automated order fulfillment and material handling systems to reduce labor, error rate, and/or process inefficiencies.
• Significant experience with using Warehouse Control Systems (WCS/WES) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office products, mainly Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite
• AutoCad proficiency required.
• SQL proficiency preferred
