Job Overview
 

Manager Result Planning steers and plans all major planning submissions and leads the monthly/ad-hoc reporting for MBUSA’s essential Corporate Planning & Financial Reporting function. Responsible for monthly result reporting to Executive Management and Mercedes-Benz HQ in Germany. The role entails a significant level of responsibility and discretionary authority as well as a high level of exposure to Senior Management.  Decisions, recommendations and output coming from Corporate Planning & Financial Reporting Control will be relied upon not only by internal management for strategic planning purposes, but also by Mercedes-Benz Controlling from a headquarters perspective.

Responsibilities

•    Requires the technical supervision of 1 full-time employees and 1-2 intern(s). 
•    Requires building and maintaining strong collaborative network with all involved parties
•    Leads all financial planning activities - both short-term (forecast for current year) and mid-term (Market Alignment Discussion, annual MB Business Plan)
•    Masters proprietary planning system (IMPACT) with high level of complexity and sophistication
•    Leads the monthly controlling closing and reconciliation process across all Financial Departments at MBUSA
•    Leads the in-depth deviation analysis processes with focus on profitability drivers
•    Leads all profitability analysis and business case evaluations towards Senior Management and prepare recommendations
•    Ensures that transfer pricing between MBUSA and Mercedes-Benz AG is accurate for all product lines. The accuracy of Transfer Pricing has a direct impact on the Net Profit and ROS of the Company as a legal entity with regard to all reporting and tax considerations.
•    Holds responsibility for the New Vehicle and Aftersales planning to ensure high levels of accuracy, consistency and quality.
 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree (accredited school) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in: Accounting and Finance
•    Must have 7+ years (total) of experience in the following: Accounting or Controlling
