Dog Den Supervisor

School Year Position - 25 hours/week

Schedule is Tuesday through Friday 12:00 pm to 4:30 PM

Additional hours on Monday and/or Saturday and/or evenings dependent on school events

 

Summary:  Help with the general supervision of the Dog Den school store located at the Grandville High School.  The Dog Den Supervisor will work with the classroom instruction to ensure a positive and successful learning environment is maintained in the store and help facilitate classroom learning.

 

Compensation Range :

  • $Hourly TBD pending experience

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Retail management experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a school environment preferred.
  • Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including accounting, excel spreadsheet, and word processing and ability to learn software specific to the school store operation.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a team mindset.
  • Works well with adolescents and young adults.
  • Ability to work independently organized and uses time effectively.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

  • Supervise students in the school store as well as the athletic lobby entrance.
  • Provide assistance to students.
  • Report to and collaborate with the classroom instructor.
  • Manage and motivate students to increase productivity.
  • Support Grandville Public Schools pride K-12.
  • Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
  • Support students while responding to customer complaints and comments.
  • Attend regular Dog Den meetings.
  • Update classroom instructor on student’s performance including punctuality.
  • Tour sales floor regularly, conducting a security sweep and identify urgent issues.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with the Grandville Athletic Booster, administration, staff and community.
  • Be a positive role model for students.
  • Assume all other responsibilities as designated by the building principal or assistant principals.
