THE POSITION

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality support to employees and leaders through effective communication, accurate data management, and consistent compliance oversight.  This role ensures that employees feel supported throughout their employment journey, that employee data is reliable and accessible, and that all business practices align with federal, state and local regulations.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to deliver a consistent and timely onboarding process that helps new hires feel informed and supported from day one.
  • Manage programs to recognize and celebrate employee milestones and achievements.
  • Provide avenues for employee feedback and assist leaders in addressing complaints and conflicts promptly and appropriately.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Partner with teams to ensure proper understanding and effective use of the HRIS.
  • Monitor and manage the employee data distributed from HRIS to maintain accuracy and integrity.
  • Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve HRIS processes and workflows.
  • Ensure employee data remains current by processing timely updates and appropriate changes.
  • Respond to third-party inquiries related to employment, including verifications of employment and unemployment requests.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and best practices for the company’s work visa program.
  • Manage Department of Transportation (DOT) driver compliance program in accordance with company and legal standards.
  • Partner with branch teams to verify that all employees are authorized to work in the United States.
  • Review and provide guidance for employee background check results.
  • Assist with special projects within the team and provide cross functional support as needed on other projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or similar
  • Self-starter who works well independently and thrives in a team environment working collaboratively
  • Ability to build trusting, long-lasting relationships and enjoys networking and supporting people
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possess intellectual curiosity and desire for continuous learning
  • Innovative problem solver who thinks logically as well as creatively
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Tech savvy, strong business acumen, research, and administrative skills

This opportunity has a base range that represents a full-time annual salary of $60,000-70,000 (commensurate with experience).
