Responsibilities

Schedule Information:  Flexible schedule.  Writing Center is open M-R 8 - 8 F 8 - 4:30 S 9 - 2 (Fall and Spring). Need to be available nights and Saturdays.

Hours Per Week:  1-28

Duties of Position:  

Assist students with academic study and learning strategies (such as time management, study skills, notetaking, reading, and test taking) to help them become stronger, more independent learners.

Provide small- and large-group workshops on study and learning strategies.

Assist with updating and maintaining study and learning materials used during sessions.

Attend regular staff trainings throughout the semester.

Maintain records of students tutored.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:  Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s degree preferred. 

Experience Requirements:  Previous experience in academic coaching, academic success tutoring, or teaching preferred.
