Job Title: Product Compliance Administrator
Location: Houston, TX
GENERAL FUNCTION
The primary responsibility of the Product Compliance Administrator is to provide the highest level of technical support to our customers, installers, and homeowners while assisting the Company with monitoring and updating warranty complaints, technical documents, and certifications. This role is based in Houston, Texas, and reports to the Technical Support Manager.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Successfully assist Customer Service calls related to technical information on product lines.
- Provide technical guidance to customers via email, telephone and personal visitations as needed.
- Provide technical and installation training to customers as required at customer locations and jobsites.
- Attend local, regional, and national shows to provide technical and sales support.
- Research and monitor industry standards and certifications for the purpose of updating product specifications.
- Work closely with other technical personnel within the group.
- Receive, process, track, analyze and report all customer complaints and claims.
- Inspect claims and prepare technical reports to be used for claims resolution.
- Negotiate claims in a manner which minimizes company costs while maximizing customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain a complete working knowledge of the production process for Siding and Roofing products.
- Assist with market evaluations, analysis of competitive products and new market strategies.
- Assist marketing with developing new brochures and presentations.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent communication skills both personal and written.
- Must be able to effectively diagnose and solve problems.
- Must be able to deal with customer problem resolution, whether relating to product installation, shipping, order delay, or defective material.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks quickly.
- Complete functional understanding of technical data and installation instructions.
- Complete understanding of product manufacturing process and formulas.
- Good understanding of basic construction practices, techniques, codes, and procedures.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
- Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Technical Field preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in the Building Construction Industry preferred.
- Strong computer skills required: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. SAP experience a plus.
