Requirements
Description of Role: Under the supervision of the MDC Assistant Manager, performs duties related to the inventory, ordering, receiving and distribution of all meals, complements, and other goods.
Required Education and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline, preferred; significant related training and experience may be substituted for a degree
- Certification in Food Safety preferred
- Certified in use of forklift
Experience:
- Five years of experience in food service or related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Job Responsibilities: FULL Job Description will be available.
a. Establishes par levels for meals and complements based on current consumer counts. Reviews inventory, places orders with meal providers.
b. Receives incoming deliveries, including meals, complements, equipment, etc. Reviews delivery ticket; verifies accuracy of delivery; checks temperatures as necessary. Signs off on completed delivery.
c. Organizes and stores all incoming goods as appropriate.
d. Transfers all food items in and out of refrigerators and freezer, as needed for storage and production.
e. Coordinates with Assistant Manager to plan daily packing schedules.
f. Coordinates with Assistant Manager to ensure all products needed for packing are set up for use by packing staff and assures a safe operations environment.
g. Returns and organizes packed meals and complements to appropriate storage location.
h. Provides backup for Assistant Manager. Assists in performing all duties related to the safe, efficient operation of the MDC Facility, grounds and equipment.
i. Performs basic repairs on building when appropriate.
j. Tracks problems with Meal Providers, product and/or deliveries. Works with Providers to satisfactorily resolve issues, troubleshoots and communicates problems to supervisory staff.
k. Prepares and summarizes meal deliveries on appropriate forms for invoicing. Works with Administrative Assistant and Provider to resolve any discrepancies.
l. Participates in quarterly menu review meetings. Provides feedback and recommendations on deliveries, meals and billing issues.
m. Provides backup in responding to and resolving any alarms reported by security company.
n. Responsible for assisting with snow removal to minimize disruption of meal deliveries.
o. Reports all safety risks and accidents to supervisor immediately.
p. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
