Job Summary
Functions as a core representative for the luxury sales team of Salterra Resort & Spa, a property with 100 luxury rooms & suites, banquets and catering revenue, 6 F&B outlets, a destination spa and full-service watersports which opened March 2025. The luxury sales agent will have the opportunity to be on the team of a luxury resort & spa in one of the Caribbean's most exclusive destinations. Based at our Home Office location in St. Petersburg, FL the individual has the opportunity to preform as an ambassador for the Resort while operating from this location.
Responsibilities
- Responds to all incoming sales inquiries executing to brand standards
- Ensures hotel meets or exceeds budgeted leisure revenue goals
- Works with Manager and Luxury Director or Sales & Marketing to ensure inclusion in all pertinent programs and Consortia memberships – such as Signature Travel and Virtuoso
- Works closely with Luxury Director of Sales & Marketing in developing, maintaining and implementing the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Collaborate with Associate Director of Sustainability to ensure that the company values are communicated to all travel advisors and leisure travelers
- Supports and promotes all corporate and brand programs to increase customer awareness.
- Complete all required Marriott training to be proficient in CI/TY/SFAWeb; GXP Reservations; GXP Arm; Bonvoy Benefits; Consortia and Wholesale Agreements; Marketing initiatives; Opera; Book4Time and any other assigned training pertinent to the positions
- Work with the Operational Team to achieve Forbes Five Star designation
- Conducts and participates in sales training, brand required training and campaigns.
- Sets example through professional, friendly attitude towards clients and co-workers; provides timely responses in observance of sales office standard.
- Maintains and promotes a teamwork environment with effective and clear interdepartmental communications.
- Works independently and exercises judgment to resolve personnel and production issues that arise during daily operations.
Qualifications and desired skills
- 2+ Years of experience in leisure sales of luxury resorts.
- Experience in managing luxury leisure sales in the Caribbean is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to speak fluent English.
- Proficiency in copywriting and strong writing skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, online booking tools, Opera, CI/TY SFAWeb, GXP, GXP ARM, GXP Reservations, sales tools, Cvent is an asset!
- Marriott Brand experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to work from the Resort's Home office base in St. Petersburg, FL
- Ability to travel to the Island of South Caicos with some frequency
- Ability to work flexible hours / on a roster basis i.e. 8am-8pm
