EPIC Principal Trainer
Vancouver Clinic is seeking a Principal Epic Trainer to develop, implement, and deliver training programs across Epic applications and other systems. The initial focus of the role will be to train our Clinical Support Staff and Clinic Assistant Classes. As this role develops, there will be additional end users and applications that they will be required to support. This role educates through engaging classroom, virtual, and on-site group sessions tailored to all skill levels.
Schedule: Monday through Friday with hours between 7am and 5pm. Some weekends as needed.
Hiring Range: Typical hiring range is $70,000/yr to $87,000/yr depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver role-based training programs aligned with organizational goals
- Conduct training needs assessments and analyze performance gaps
- Design instructional materials using Microsoft Office and other tools
- Manage training projects and collaborate across departments
- Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions and provide site support as needed
- Maintain MST environment and troubleshoot with technical teams
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or Adult Learning preferred. Will consider equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of corporate training experience; healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience and certification in Epic EMR Application(s) strongly preferred. If not certified, must obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
- Experience with online training through tools such as Teams required.
- Experience in software support required.
- Working knowledge of healthcare field strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of a Learning Management System strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
- Strong communication, editing, and visual design skills
- Familiarity with Nuance/Dragon software and Learning Management Systems a plus
Pay Range:
$68,470.00 - $102,707.00The above information is intended to indicate the general nature and level of work required in this position. Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
