Accounting Manager Job Posting

Our family-owned Bobcat distributor, primarily in Washington state, is building a great team to help us continue to grow. We are a family-owned business with a great history of success that hires to retire, entering into a new venture. We have assembled a new leadership team with extensive distributorship experience, and we’re excited about executing a turnaround for this business with fabulous brand recognition and great team members.

 

We are currently looking for a talented Accounting Manager to work in the greater Seattle area, frequently visiting our Auburn, WA location. This is a hands-on role, with growth potential, and will be a member of our leadership team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization which is currently earning $30M in revenue.  We’ll have additional support for AR/AP and this individual will have the opportunity to help us set up our financial reporting, with significant guidance and tools from our larger sister company.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the timely and efficient 5-day financial close process.
  • Daily cash management and reporting.
  • Manage Inventory and floorplan and execute reconciliations, working with on-site operations and sales team.
  • Manage full-cycle accounting operations with precision and accuracy.
  • Execute complex journal entries and conduct thorough account reconciliations.
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Regularly travel to seven locations throughout Washington/Idaho to support process integration and standardization.
  • Support yearly audit requests and needed schedules.
  • Leadership team participation.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Dynamics 365 or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teams across various departments.
  • Experience with inventory.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30-40% across Washington state and northern Idaho.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a strategic approach to financial challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak periods.
