The role

You will be one of the first Account Executives at Fiveonefour, joining a founding team obsessed with reshaping how data and AI-driven products get built. We’re building the new developer stack for real-time analytics and AI-native applications: from MooseStack (our open-source framework powering next-gen data apps) to Boreal (Git→Prod control plane) and Sloan (AI copilots and MCP agents).

This isn’t a typical SaaS AE role. You’re not selling dashboards or pushing licenses. You’re helping engineering leaders, founders, and data teams reimagine their entire build process and turning developer love into enterprise conviction.

You’ll work side-by-side with our Co-founders and executives to design and execute the playbook for how we take a breakout developer platform to market, defining what technical sales looks like in the new AI era. You’ll be the bridge between early open-source adoption and strategic enterprise expansion, helping customers move from “this is cool” to “we’re all-in.”

We’re looking for a high-agency, deeply curious builder, someone who can hold their own in a technical conversation about ClickHouse performance or data pipelines, then shift gears to build a business case for a CTO or Head of Data. Someone who gets that the best sellers are engineers in disguise, obsessed with helping customers win.

Like every early team member at Fiveonefour, this is a hands-on, high-hustle role. You’ll build your own pipeline, craft your own pitch, and directly shape how we tell our story. You’ll be working with a product and brand already generating real developer excitement, your mission is to turn that into commercial gravity.

What to expect from your peers

Responsibilities:

  • Drive full-cycle deals — from first contact to close — with startups and enterprises adopting ClickHouse and seeking faster paths to production.
  • Translate technical potential into business outcomes, showing how 514 accelerates go-live, reduces risk, and unlocks revenue through real-time analytics and AI-ready data access.
  • Qualify, build, and manage pipeline across inbound interest, community leads, and strategic partner introductions (especially through ClickHouse, cloud, and ecosystem partners).
  • Run disciplined discovery to expose pain, size impact, and frame the ROI case that drives urgency.
  • Collaborate tightly with Sales Engineering to shape POCs and validate technical fit, then anchor commercial value around measurable outcomes.
  • Evangelize 514’s developer-first approach in community channels, customer calls, and industry events.
  • Contribute to ClickHouse-related meetups and regional data community events — helping expand 514’s presence across the ClickHouse ecosystem.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in CRM; drive clarity on deal stage, next steps, and decision criteria.

Qualifications:

Must haves:

  • 2–3 years of highly successful selling cloud, data infrastructure, or developer-focused products — ideally with open-source, OLAP/OLTP or ClickHouse-adjacent exposure.
  • Proven ability to close complex technical deals that involve both engineering and executive stakeholders.
  • Exhibit deep familiarity with solution-based selling — connecting performance, scalability, or speed improvements to top-line or cost-reduction value.
  • Evidence of strong business acumen, crisp communication, and the ability to operate credibly in highly technical conversations.
  • Thrive in early-stage environments — bring on the ambiguity, velocity, and some chaos!
  • Proof and passion for building long-term customer relationships and partnering with product and engineering to shape solutions.
