Job Summary:
The Director, Category Sales is responsible for overseeing the commercial strategy and operations of the vertical. This role involves managing sales, marketing, and customer service teams to drive business growth and ensure the company’s commercial success. The Director will develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance operational efficiency.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Create and execute comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with company goals to drive growth and profitability.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, understand market trends, and analyze competitor activities.
Lead and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets, expand the customer base, and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
Oversee marketing initiatives to promote products and services, enhance brand awareness, and generate leads.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by managing customer service operations and addressing customer needs effectively.
Develop and monitor budgets, financial targets, and performance metrics to ensure commercial activities are financially viable.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to commercial teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, partners, and suppliers, to support business objectives.
Monitor and report on the performance of commercial activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Commercial Vendors on a Regional and National scale.
Introduce new vendors/products in the Commercial space that enables SRS to grow outside of our current offering.
Understand and drive financial results through the P&L.
Develop plan to improve margins, through improved pricing strategies and better cost strategies.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Proven experience in a senior commercial role, with a track record of driving business growth and managing commercial operations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel as needed.
Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
