What You’ll Own

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Command full-cycle project delivery—schedule, safety, quality, and results
  • Be the single point of contact for clients and internal teams
  • Lead on-site operations, guiding technicians and shift leads with authority
  • Drive accountability and keep critical milestones on track

Operational Excellence

  • Manage change orders and resource allocation with agility
  • Spot inefficiencies and implement smart solutions
  • Ensure equipment is ready and safety standards are met

Client & Team Collaboration

  • Keep communication flowing between clients and IPM departments
  • Support quoting and estimating for new work
  • Partner with sales to expand IPM’s footprint and uncover new opportunities

Technical Expertise & Mentorship

  • Train field machinists in best practices and equipment usage
  • Troubleshoot challenges with a hands-on, solutions-first mindset
  • Ensure documentation and reporting are accurate and timely

What You Bring

  • 7–10 years of field machining or related experience
  • Proven leadership in complex, multi-phase projects
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Ability to read technical documents and apply practical math (geometry, trigonometry)

Preferred Qualifications

  • IPM Level III Field Machinist status
  • Journeyman certification or technical degree
  • Experience with budgeting and performance metrics

Physical & Environmental Expectations

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate hand tools
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments (machining, welding, cranes)
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%
  • OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to gain nuclear facility clearance
