About the Role:

Support the planning and coordination of internal commercial meetings and congresses. Assist in the development of meeting and congress plans, while helping to manage budgets and vendors. Contribute to process improvements within the meeting and congress planning function. Work closely with cross-functional team members and leadership to ensure that meetings and congresses run smoothly and align with Neurocrine's corporate goals and values.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of Commercial meetings and congresses to support the organization’s business objectives and goals. Includes development of meeting budgets, meeting space requirements, food & beverage, transportation, and other ancillary meeting planning needs

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and other teams to gather information and understand the needs, objectives, and expectations for internal meetings and commercial congresses

  • Support project management activities for congress/conference planning, ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams and helping to manage timelines for successful execution

  • Work with vendors to support contract negotiations and maintain positive vendor relationships, ensuring services meet quality standards and are cost-effective

  • Assist in development, tracking and managing budgets for events, maintaining financial accountability, and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities

  • Contribute to the process improvement of Commercial meetings and congresses by supporting enhancements based on industry trends, best practices, and business needs

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures in all events and meetings

  • Provide support to the team, helping with guidance and contributing to the overall success of meeting and congress operations

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in marketing, communications, or life sciences and 4+ years of relevant experience OR

  • MA/MS degree in marketing, communications, or life sciences and 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Meeting management experience required

  • Overnight night and weekend travel required

  • Solid process and project management skills with ability to create detailed project timelines/schedules and implement processes for project tracking and status updates

  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and cross functionally as part of a team with aggressive timelines

  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills, and be diligent about the quality of work generated

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical and budget management skills. Must also be adaptable to frequent changes

  • Must have the ability to manage vendors and work with all levels of management in a team environment

  • Demonstrated proficiency in event management software (i.e. Cvent) and Microsoft Office Suite

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $130,100.00-$188,550.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
