You Are:
The Technical Accounting & Reporting Senior Manager supports the AFS Accounting and Reporting function within the Controllership organization. This role interacts with various departments and levels within the Organization, and is primarily responsible for providing critical accounting support to the organization.
The Work:
- Overseeing and performing various technical accounting analyses and making recommendations to Controllership leadership and other business leaders as necessary.
- Work closely with finance personnel at all levels and AFS executives to understand the facts and circumstances of the particular transaction/situation and provide feedback and advice on appropriate accounting treatment
- Support training and knowledge sharing for finance and non-finance personnel to ensure a base understanding of U.S. GAAP requirements and updates, as required
- Work closely with policy owners to ensure AFS policies are clear, accurate and current with respect to U.S. GAAP requirements
- Participate in cross-functional teams to bring financial expertise to key corporate objectives
- Review financial accounting deliverables provided to Accenture LLP to support Accenture's externally filed financial statements
- Oversee monthly consolidated close and perform mid-month review activities including journal entry and account reconciliation reviews
- Participate in due diligence process for acquisitions and manage the purchase accounting and integration processes
Other Responsibilities include:
- Execute internal controls to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, AFS policies, and Federal cost compliance rules
- Support internal and external audits, including review of revenue support
- Supervise, mentor and develop assigned staff
- Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives
- Identify and participate in opportunities to continuously improve training, methodologies, tools and skills
Here's What You Need:
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong Understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606
- Strong professional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels
- Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Strong project management skills – able to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Undergraduate degree (accounting or finance preferred)
- CPA or equivalent certification
Bonus Points If:
- Experience in writing and evaluating accounting policy
- Experience in creating and providing training
- Government contracting industry experience
- Familiarity with Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
