Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and thoughtful user experience (UX) designer to join the product team for Fidelity’s private company platform, Fidelity Private Shares (FPS), within Fidelity Labs. The FPS platform team delivers innovative technology, robust industry experience and expertise, and seamless service to our customers.
The product designer plays a key role in the strategy and development of our product through hands-on design initiatives. We’re looking for someone with the ability to see the big picture while sweating the details. The product designer will work closely with product leadership, fellow designers, and the engineering team to define and develop features. Through the creation of mock-ups, wireframes, and style guides the UX Designer will set the visual and interaction design aspects of the product.
Your primary responsibilities are:
- Discover and document product requirements
- Define user interactions
- Research and apply best practices for design patterns and accessibility
- Create design specifications
- Collaborate with engineering team to guide implementation
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 3+ years of work experience in product design, user experience design, interaction design, visual design, or similar
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience participating in the full product development lifecycle of web, mobile, and/or software applications
- Versatility with a variety of design processes and artifacts from marker sketches to prototypes
- Experience leading exploratory meetings and idea generation sessions
- Facility with user research techniques and user feedback engagement
- Strong visual and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency with standard design software and tools (coding/CSS skills are not required)
- Polished and compelling design portfolio (please provide link to your portfolio with your application)

The base salary range for this position is $107,000-216,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
