PURPOSE
The Quality Assurance Specialist will serve under the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance. The primary responsibility of this position will be to support the quality assurance activities of the department.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The typical responsibilities for this position are: 1. Provide clinical oversight and services to an average of 75 Service Coordinators o People Oriented Competencies: Communication (Oral and Written) – QA Specialists will be required to effectively communicate, over the phone and via email, with the entire portfolio of Service Coordinators. Customer Orientation-QA Specialists will ensure customer satisfaction. The customer includes Service Coordinators, managers and owners. Developing Others- QA Specialists will act as coaches to Service Coordinators across the country. Ensuring understanding and completion of HUD requirements. Empowering others-– QA Specialists will work to instill confidence in Service Coordinators in relation to the work they do for the aging population. o Business Oriented Competencies: Decisiveness– QA Specialists will be responsible for serving as a help desk to Service Coordinators as they work with difficult resident situations. Technical Expertise– QA Specialists will serve as an expert for all standardized Service Coordinator documentation systems. Diagnostic Information Gathering– QA Specialists will Results Orientation– QA Specialists will Analytical Thinking– QA Specialists will Conceptual Thinking– QA Specialists will o Self Management Competencies 2. Synthesize material to produce Semi-Annual Performance Reports for Service Coordinators o Business Oriented Competencies: Results Orientation Thoroughness o Self Management Competencies 6. Organize and submit semi-annual Quality Assurance Reports; provide recommended corrective action feedback. o Business Oriented Competencies: Results Orientation Thoroughness Analytical Thinking o Self Management Competencies 7. Plan, execute and compile results of satisfaction surveys with residents served by Service Coordinators and Property Managers o Business Oriented Competencies: Results Orientation Thoroughness 8. Other duties related to the Quality Assurance Program as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATION SHEET—QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field. Licensed Social Worker
Experience: One to two years experience in related field and/or actively working as a service coordinator in the field.
Mental: Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.
Skills: Must have working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web.
Licensure: None required. _______________________________________________________________________
Vision: The degree of hand and eye coordination as applied to job requirements that induce visual strain. Normal: Consistent with standard workflow.
