District Manager

As District Manager, you'll be the scentral (get it, like central?) figure guiding your stores to success! You’ll provide leadership to store management, help implement company policies, and ensure long-term growth. You’ll keep a visible presence in your assigned territory, making sure everything is operating smoothly and effectively. It's all about creating an odor-free and efficient environment for both customers and teams!

What You’ll Do

• Review audits to ensure accurate sales and cost reporting, while keeping a sharp nose on P&L statements to sniff out areas for improvement and boost profitability.
• Monitor costs, shrink, and expenses to keep stores moving at full throttle.
• Develop action plans and advise the Store Managers on optimizing store performance, operational changes, and obstacles impacting profitability and goal achievement- because success should be the only thing stinkin’ up the place!
• Fuel up the team’s motivation, coaching them to hit sales targets, improve performance, and boosting retention.
• Ensure everyone is on the same scent trail by communicating strategies, procedures, and promotions with store management.
• Drive the hiring, training, and development process for store management, making sure every leader is geared up and ready to kick some retail tail!
• Raise a stink in local communities by enhancing the brand’s reputation and involvement in neighborhood activities- being a bright spot in the communities we serve is our bread and butter!
• Ensure the team is in gear and aligned with business objectives, avoiding any traffic jams in communication by holding monthly and ad-hoc meetings.
• Make sure nothing smells off with pricing, displays, or store promotions through flawless execution and alignment with brand image.
• Avoid bumps in the road by fostering a fair leadership environment, creating a space for open communication, and ensuring the consistent application of policies and procedures.

What You’ll Need

• Solution focused thinking- You get 5 minutes to complain, then we kick tail!
• Communicates clearly and effectively across the district and with various corporate departments, whether you're rallying the troops during a store visit or sending an email that (hopefully) gets read.
• Effective time management and attention to detail- there are a lot of moving pieces and skunks headed in every direction!
• Act as an agent for change; being flexible and patient, open to suggestions, and a keen eye for opportunities to improve processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years multi-unit retail experience, convenience store experience preferred.
• Associates degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Must consent to/pass a background check and motor vehicle report.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a passion for sightseeing, as there will be travel between multiple Stinker locations.
• We don’t expect you to be a tech guru (we have a whole department for that!), but you’ll need to be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer operation.
• You don’t need to be an Olympic athlete, but you do need to be able to balance on a step stool or step ladder, lift up to 50 lbs., and work from floor to eye level.
• Able to work in a cooler at an average temperature of 32 degrees (hey, at least it’s not Antarctica).
