Purpose
The Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy will lead and contribute to high-impact strategic projects that drive growth, anticipate industry shifts, and reinforce our value proposition. This role requires a strategic thinker with experience in consulting or corporate strategy who thrives in ambiguity and can bring clarity to complex challenges. Working closely with the VP of Corporate Strategy and Marketing and other senior leaders, the Senior Manager will provide insights and guidance that shape the company’s strategic direction and support leaders across the organization in navigating a wide range of business situations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Support Strategy Projects: Manage end-to-end strategic initiatives—from framing the problem to synthesizing insights and presenting recommendations—with autonomy and precision.
- Drive Growth Opportunities: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess feasibility and drive execution.
- Advise Business Leaders: Act as a strategic thought partner to internal teams, including those focused on pharmaceutical manufacturers, payers, and prescribers. Offer tailored insights and recommendations to support both near-term goals and long-term strategy.
- Deliver Market & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct deep market and competitive analyses to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities that inform strategic decisions.
- Scenario Planning & Strategic Foresight: Model future scenarios and assess their implications, helping the organization prepare for evolving industry dynamics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, healthcare administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in corporate strategy, consulting, investment banking, or a related field.
- Healthcare industry experience is required; specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical, or rare disease experience is a plus.
- Strong storytelling and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to craft compelling, data-driven presentations that influence decisions and align stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing strategic projects and delivering actionable insights.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex issues and develop clear recommendations.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across levels and functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to flex across project types, from multi-year strategy to in-year risks and opportunities to address
- Familiarity with strategic frameworks, business modeling, and long-term planning.
- Continuous learner who stays ahead of industry trends, technologies and strategic thinking methodologies, applying best practices from strategy
- Familiarity with AI and a willingness to experiment to stay ahead of trends and identify opportunities
Work Environment
This position works in a professional home or office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Occasional travel (<10%) may be required for customer meetings or industry events.
