IT Infrastructure & Project Manager

 

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Project Manager to join our growing clinical trial site network. In this hybrid role, you’ll lead the design, implementation, and management of our IT infrastructure across multiple research sites while driving key technology projects that enhance operational efficiency, data security, and regulatory compliance. This position is ideal for a technically strong and organized leader who can balance hands-on system oversight with strategic project management — ensuring that our clinical technology.




 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee network architecture, servers, and cloud environments across multiple research sites.
  • Ensure high availability, data integrity, and secure connectivity between sites and clinical systems.
  • Manage infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and integrations with EMR/EHR and data capture platforms.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure reliable and compliant IT operations.

2. Project Management

  • Lead technology and infrastructure projects — including site onboarding, cybersecurity initiatives, and system modernisation.
  • Define project scope, milestones, budgets, and success metrics.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage vendor deliverables.
  • Track progress, mitigate risks, and provide regular updates to leadership.

3. Security & Compliance

  • Enforce IT and cybersecurity policies aligned with HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, and GDPR standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits.
  • Partner with the cybersecurity and compliance teams to safeguard PHI and sensitive data.

4. Leadership & Collaboration

  1. Supervise IT and infrastructure support teams, both internal and external.
  2. Act as a key liaison between IT, Clinical Operations, Data Management, and Quality Assurance.
  • Develop technical SOPs, documentation, and compliance records.
  • Contribute to IT strategy, budgeting, and long-term technology planning.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and project management, preferably in a healthcare or clinical research environment.

Credentials:

  • Certifications preferred: PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or relevant cloud certifications.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong technical expertise in networking, virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-site IT projects and system integrations.
