Public Health – Seattle & King County is seeking a full time Dentist to join our vibrant and diverse team at our Columbia City clinic in Seattle. The clinic provides services to an ethnically diverse population of low-income children and adults, including pregnant people, and homeless adults and teens. Position Duties
The following duties are performed dental clinics:
- Deliver diagnostic, restorative, preventive, and emergency dental care. Provide clinical oversight to Dental Hygienists and Assistants in field and clinical settings.
- Collaborate on community-based prevention strategies (sealants, fluoride, oral health education). Maintain accurate clinical documentation (EPIC/WISDOM).
- Ensure compliance with OSHA/WISHA standards and King County policies.
- Perform accurate charting using Electronic Dental Record (EPIC/WISDOM).
- Perform other duties as allowed by the Washington State Dental Practice Act 18.32 and 18.26. Comply with OSHA/WISHA standards in both clinical and community settings.
- Responsible for accurate completion of encounters as per Dental Program/Business Revenue Unit Policies and Procedures and Medicaid billing guidelines.
- Responsible for accurate data entry.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Current Washington State License to practice dentistry.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of Dental Public Health Practice.
- Ability to provide leadership and work as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Commitment to health equity and addressing health disparities.
- Valid BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
Desired:
- Demonstrated experience in quadrant dentistry.
- Demonstrated experience with removable prosthetics
- Demonstrated experienced working in a community or public health setting.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.

- Public Health relies on office automation (Microsoft Office) and web-based enabled tools, therefore candidates must be proficient and comfortable with computer use to perform functions associated with on-going work.

- Regular and reliable attendance, effective communication skills, and development of effective working relationships are requirements of all Public Health positions.

This may involve responding at any time, including nights and weekends, with possible deployment to locations other than the department.

Work Schedule
This position is in-person, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Work Location
This position is located at the Columbia Dental Clinic 4400 37th Ave S Seattle, WA 98118.
Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
