The purpose of this role is to effectively lead the strategy and manage the overall relationship between Wincanton/GXO and the nominated client’s business to deliver an agreed annual budget including financial growth targets coupled with outstanding customer service, all whilst ensuring robust contract and commercial governance as part of a dynamic and evolving contract.
Please note that the client in question is a UK defence prime, therefore UK SC clearance will be required for this role, with BPSS as a minimum.
Key Accountabilities
• Create, review and own the Key Account Plan – a dynamic and evolving document including current performance status, short and long-term goals & targets and stakeholder management.
• Working closely with Operational Leads to develop a strong pipeline of opportunities, monitor service and performance and communicate effectively with customer stakeholders
• To support the achievement of all agreed annual revenue, organic sales and profit targets.
• Organise and lead appropriate business cadence to include regular, formal reviews and reports.
• Drive robust contractual and commercial governance to ensure compliance across all areas of the operation.
• Liaising with customers to ensure all contractual and commercial requirements are met and defined performance standards and customer satisfaction is maintained to the highest level. Take responsibility for contract governance on dynamic customer accounts.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, client stakeholders and internal stakeholders.
• Develop ‘internal’ network (across Sectors and central functions), to leverage multifaceted solutions.
• Communicating and liaising with other departments to ensure a smooth & effective client experience.

Experience
• Proven work experience as an Account Manager or relevant role within logistics/supply chain
• Experience delivering client focussed solutions to customer needs
• Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects whilst maintaining sharp attention to detail
• Logistics / market industry experience
• Experience with CRM software and pipeline management
• Proven experience presenting and negotiating with senior customer and internal stakeholders
