About the role.
The Lead Seed Agronomist plays a critical role in developing McCain’s North American seed pipeline and building agronomic strategies that drive quality improvements for our seed and process growers.
This role works closely with regional seed growers, McCain internal stakeholders, and research organizations to enhance seed quality, support new variety adoption, and advance regenerative agriculture practices across McCain’s proprietary potato varieties.
Ideal candidates will bring both technical expertise and natural leadership — leveraging seed potato production knowledge into measurable results for McCain and our grower partners.

Foster strong relationships with third-party agronomy and research partners (industry and academic) to ensure McCain remains at the forefront of agronomic innovation.
Establish and maintain quality standards and data for winter grow-out evaluations.
Champion and model safe work practices for both McCain employees and growers.

Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science (Master’s degree preferred).
Strong soft skills, capable of leading people and projects with accountability.
