POSITION SUMMARY

Set-up, operate and monitor chemical solution tanks with proper concentration conditions for cleaning manufactured products.  Prepare manufactured products for dipping and cleaning in chemical solutions.  Operate overhead crane and maintain orderly work area.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set-up, operate and maintain proper chemical solution concentration for cleaning manufactured products, including acid neutralization and alkaline degreaser tanks.
• Prepare manufactured products for dipping and cleaning in chemical solution tanks.
• Operate overhead cranes to lift and lower product into and out of cleaning solution tanks.
• Monitor and track products cleaning/solution time, may set or regulate temperature controls and/or cycle lengths.
• Maintain accurate records in production logs detailing products passing through the chemical solution.
• Inspect products and identify chemical solution inconsistencies, seek assistance if necessary for corrective measures.
• May perform routine cleaning and maintenance of work area and equipment.
• May add specified amounts of chemicals to maintain proper mix of chemicals and/or solution levels and concentrations.
• May train others as necessary or needed.
• Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
• Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.
• Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• Prior manufacturing and/or manual machine operation experience preferred or equivalent of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to operate equipment and controlling operations and systems including crane use manipulation.
• Ability to follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
• Ability understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work under frequently changing priorities and deadlines.

Pay Rate: The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience with the industry, education, geographic location, etc.
