The Technical Engineer role is primarily focused on bringing online Optum’s Radiology PACS system for our customers. Working in collaboration with a cohesive team, you will be the lead technical resource to coordinate, install, customize, troubleshoot and validate the configuration of hardware (virtual and physical) and software to integrate the RAD PACS system to the customer’s HIS/RIS (Hospital/Radiology Information System), as well as Windows Active Directory domain, network, and imaging modalities.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.    For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with customers and internal technical team members to design, plan and implement optimal deployments of Radiology PACS
• Install and configure VMs/servers/workstations at customer sites and remotely
• Configure and customize proprietary Radiology PACS software
• Evaluate, analyze, and troubleshoot system, application, and end user issues (Oracle, Microsoft OS, Active Directory, Networking, Hardware)
• Assist with customer testing
• Create and update issue tickets as needed
• Test, benchmark and verify that the implemented system is error free
• Support the customer during go-live when system is activated for live Production use
• Travel to client sites for install/go-live support as needed
