POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector I is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic inspections of fire apparatus components and assemblies. This role supports the quality team by ensuring that parts and builds meet defined specifications and standards, including NFPA compliance. Quality Inspector I works under close supervision and is expected to grow into more advanced inspection responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.
- Verify basic compliance with build sheets, work instructions, and quality checklists.
- Assist in documenting inspection results and reporting non-conformances.
- Support pre-delivery inspections and assist with quality audits.
- Verify basic dimensional requirements called out on the build specification documents.
- Support senior inspectors during audits or more technical inspections.
- Escalate issues to higher-level inspectors or supervisors.
- Follow the inspection checklist and report the results on the inspection form.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.
Tools to be utilized:
Hand tools, power tools, calipers, and quality measuring equipment.
