Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) performs professional nursing duties in the care of patients across the life span. The Registered Nurse will work closely with Advanced Practice Nurse, Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology, Podiatry and Ortho, as well as the Chief Medical Officer and Director of Nursing as they rotate through the Clinic setting.  The Registered Nurse will assist patients in achieving optimal levels of wellness, self-management, and functioning capability. All duties will be performed under the guidance of the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Must have completed an accredited Registered Nurse program and have obtained a current, unrestricted Nursing License from the State of Oklahoma. 
  • Must have a minimum of Seven (7) years of experience in the Clinic setting, or Seven (3) years of experience in the Hospital setting.  
  • BLS Required
  • Willing and able to handle considerable walking, recurring bending, lifting, kneeling, pushing and pulling, often more than 50 pounds

General Qualifications

  • ACLS Preferred. 
  • Must be able to recognize the need for and institute emergency measures when indicated; respond to cardiopulmonary arrest, perform catheterizations, change surgical dressings, administer antibiotics, immunizations and corticosteroids. 
  • Must be a team player with a high level of problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience in observation, recording, and reporting accurate patient information
  • Requires personal integrity and ethics, always maintaining confidentiality
  • Must take at least 6 continuing education units per year. 
  • Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs, EPIC preferred.
  • Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation. 
  • Requires ability to learn new skills, including traveling to training conferences
  • Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol screening and a criminal background check.
  • Must have a clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles.
