Responsibilities
- Analyze CMS experiment data for jet quenching and energy correlators.
- Supervise and communicate daily with graduate student Yilun Wu.
- Prepare publications on data analysis results, ensuring high-quality scientific communication.
- Develop and implement data analysis techniques using machine learning.
- Collaborate with the research team to ensure efficient data processing and interpretation.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of research activities.
- Assist in the organization and presentation of research findings at conferences or seminars.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in physics and astronomy research.
- Provide support and guidance to other team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Astronomy, or a related field.
- Experience in data analysis and interpretation, preferably in a research setting.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in machine learning techniques.
- Excellent communication and supervision skills for effective student collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with CMS experiment data and analysis tools is an advantage.
- Proficiency in scientific writing and publication preparation.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in research.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new research methodologies.
- A passion for physics and a desire to contribute to scientific advancements.
